The National Board of Examination declares NEET MDS will be held on the 14th of December 2018. The exam is conducted in around 41 cities across the country. The official website of NEET MDS states that no other state government/private college shall be conducting an exam separately for MDS admission course in the academic year 2017-18.
National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is the eligibility cum ranking exam for admissions to Post Graduate dental course in India under the Dentists Act, 1948. This Exam is conducted once a year. It is a 3 hours exam online. Languages of the exam are Hindi and English.
Eligibility for NEET MDS 2019
The Candidate must have a recognized bachelor’s degree in dental surgery awarded by a university in India and registered Dental Council and should have obtained a provisional or permanent registration and has undergone mandatory rotatory internship of one year in an approved or recognized dental college.
A candidate who has passed the final qualifying examination(BDS or the foreign dental degree recognized by GOI/DCI), is undergoing one-year compulsory rotatory internship or practical training and is like to complete that by 31st March 2019 can appear for this examination. But the candidate shall not be eligible for admission unless he or she has completed the mandatory internship and obtained provisional or permanent registration by 31st March. The Candidate must produce the certificate to the head of the institution that he or she will be completing the internship.
The Eligibility criteria for 50% quota seats is as per para 4.1 and 4.2. Candidates who have passed BDS from the states like Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Jammu & Kashmir are not eligible for 50% quota seats. However, the candidates passed from the dental colleges of above-mentioned states and are nominated by the government of India(under central pool seats) are eligible to appear for the exam. Such candidates must submit a duly signed affidavit declaring that he or she is been nominated by the Government of India under central pool seats addressing the Deputy Director of NBE and should submit that online along with the exam application by November 30th, 2018. The Candidate who fails to submit the affidavit will be ineligible to appear for the exam.
The NEET MDS pattern will be Multiple Choice Questions with 25% negative marking for incorrect answers.
Admit Card
Once the aspirants have successfully registered for the exam they will receive a soft copy of acknowledgment by email. The aspirant should check their NEET MDS admit card thoroughly and take a printed copy. They must affix their latest passport size photograph on the admit card of 35x45mm with 75% coverage of face & head of the candidate. There should be a caption at the bottom of the photograph addressing the name of the candidate and the date of the photograph taken.
